Kara is our Executive Director for the Iowa market and brings more than 20 years of healthcare experience across hospital operations, finance and reimbursement, corporate benefits, ACO administration, and value-based care. Over the past decade, her work has centered on quality, risk adjustment, payer partnerships, and market operations under full-risk and shared-savings arrangements. She specializes in building scalable operating models, strengthening payer and provider partnerships, and translating enterprise strategy into measurable market results. What energizes her is partnering with clinicians, payers, and enterprise teams to lift Star Ratings, sharpen quality performance, and deliver better care at a lower cost. Kara lives in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She earned a Master of Health Administration from Des Moines University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Finance & Management) from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and holds Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt credentials.
